Better tools for one of the hardest pests,
built for the technician.
Skatek develops and manufactures bed bug tools for pest control professionals, built to find bed bugs sooner and make every job easier.
Why we started with monitoring
Ask an operator what slows a bed bug job down and you rarely hear about the treatment itself. You hear about the hunt: getting bed bugs to come out, knowing whether they are there at all, and proving afterwards that they are gone. We built ExHale for that part of the job.
The mechanism is behavioural, and the dispenser does the work of a sleeping person. It releases the aerosol in measured bursts on the schedule the operator sets, at night when bed bugs are active, so the room reads as occupied. Bed bugs leave their hiding places on their own instead of being driven deeper into the structure. That makes ExHale a monitoring tool: it shows whether bed bugs are present before treatment, and whether they are gone after.
Why we work with distributors
Operators buy from people they already have terms with, and they need stock the same week they need it. Distributors do that well, so we work with them. We put our effort into the product and into helping technicians use it well. We help with training and guides, and we built Skatek Hub for technicians who want instructions and support.
Three commitments
Backed by Norwegian innovation and research funding
Innovation Norway and the Research Council of Norway support Skatek's work. Their support helps us develop new tools for pest control professionals and bring them to more markets.
